12 Month Check Up

We took Nolan to see Dr. Patty yesterday for his 1 year check up. Our little peanut was 29 " tall (50th %) and a whopping 20.3 lbs. (15%). She was not concerned with his weight  after we described his grown man eating habits and blamed the low number on a jealous quick metabolism! She was very pleased with his progress and said he looked wonderful! He did great with his vaccinations. He received MMR, Varicella, & Hepatitis A. He was such a trooper !

Alum Creek Dam

Saturday afternoon was gorgeous so we packed  the running stroller and headed to the dam. From the dam you can see Alum Creek Reservoir which is 3,300-acre lake just minutes from our house.

The northern section is restricted to paddling, the southern section is great for all kinds of boats and water skiing. It was pretty HOT but Nolan managed to enjoy himself for a few minutes. Opposite of the dam, there is a 3000 ft beach along the shore of the Lake. Hopefully we'll be able to take Nolan a few times this summer!

Summa-time !!!!

My favorite part of the day is when I get to pick Nolan up from MaeMae's. His giant toothy grin and reach for me fills my heart with love!!!! He is always in a great mood from that 5-7pm time slot. Since the weather has been Perfect - 70's and sunny, we've been spending a lot of time outside! The rest of the neighborhood kids are usually out too!

The boys take turns riding in the wagon and playing with dumptrucks and cars. They are so funny to watch.

Since last night was particularly gorgeous, I moved Noli's highchair outside and we ate dinner on the patio. His blonde curls were blowing in the breeze as he chowed ravioli, green beans and potatoes.

Happy Mother's Day

Today marks my 2nd Mother's Day Celebration !!! So thankful God has blessed me with Nolan and given me the honor to celebrate. Feeling very blessed : )

Let me tell you, Nolan knows the way to a woman's heart. Not only did I receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers BUT a Little.Blue.Box. from Tiffany's!!!! The significance behind the Elsa Peretti Bean necklace is so sweet......one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received! After my very first ultrasound (only 4 weeks) we nickednamed Baby Gallagher, "Bean".

He was our little bean until we named him Nolan AKA Noli Bean. Ironically enough, Noli loves him some green beans.....so much, he eats them several times a week. Anyhow, I would have never thought in a million years that Nick would ever think or be able to find a bean necklace, better yet manufactured by Tiffany's !!! I love it !!!

We enjoyed the rest of the weekend back home honoring 2 of the greatest mama's I know....Nolan's Grammie Chinn & Nana Gallagher. We had a special Mother's Day breakfast with my parents and lunch with Nick's family that afternoon.

Cousins are your very first friends!



Camyrn: 4 years, Kenadie: 15 months, Nolan 11 months

A few weeks back, Nolan got to meet his cousin Kenadie who was visitng from Texas! Growing up I was close to my cousins, so I was excited he finally got to meet her. The weather was gorgeous, food was great, and company even better!

Nolan usually runs the show but Kenadie gave him a run for his money!

Toe Sammich ?!

Nolan is officially in his big boy car seat! He looks so itty bitty in it!!!! Especially compared to the infant carrier we've still been hauling him around in. I think he likes facing front...feels more included : ) He was doing a lot of giggling while we were out running errands this weekend !

Apparently after the mac & cheese, french onion soup, baguette and chocolate chip cookie from Panera, our big eater was still NOT satisfied..... I found Nolan enjoying a toe sandwich on our way home!

What a character huh?!
