Stroll For Epilepsy

Saturday morning we participated in the 10th Annual Stroll for Epilepsy hosted by The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati and Columbus. This was Nolan's 2nd stroll, though he was still in utero for the first ; ). The family-friendly charity was held at Polaris Mall, where we strolled through both levels of the mall stopping at designated stations to answer questions about Epilepsy. Nolan really enjoyed all the hoopla before the walk…..  load music, Magic Show, balloon animals, Mascots, etc. This was such a great event that definitely hit close to home!  Overall, the walk raised close to $14,000.

Guaca"Noli"

Knock on Wood.... But I am so fortunate to not have a picky eater. Nolan eats just about everything. Loves Fresh Veggies & Dip, Fruit, Black Olives on Pizza, Soup, SALAD.... the list goes on & on. I have Meme to partially thank for that. She cooks homemade, EVERYDAY for her daycare. But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.....His Mommy & Daddy have quite the love for good eats : ).

Anyhow, brings me to Nolan's new nickname..... Guaca"Noli" !!! We went out for Mexican Friday night. Nolan ate so many chips & quacamole, I had to order him more! He wasn't just lightly dipping his chips, I mean he was loading them up with gigantic scoops of guacamole goodness.

Toddler with Personality

Nolan has really developed a little personality the last few weeks. He is so animated and quite frankly pretty hysterical. He loves watching "toons". His very favorite is Mit-me (Mickey) and Memo (Nemo). It is very cute to watch him react to the scenes gasping, and "Oh No"ing. Kid might have a career as an actor one day.......Very animated! Here he is with all his Mickey Dolls watching Mickey Mouse Club House:

Last night he climbed up the table to check out the Guy Fieri Cookbook, shades and all:

Nolan has also learned the word No. It's hard not to laugh because his little voice is so tiny and cute, but getting very annoying to hear No over and over again. We did take him out to dinner the other night. He was pretty well behaved and spent the majority of the time coloring (also a new favorite activity) and trying to get attention from the boys behind us. He had a cheese quesadilla and a side dish of fruit which he gobbled up. When our waiter came to ask if we needed anything else, Nolan held up his fruit bowl and asked for "moar". Nick and I both laughed.

Since we've mastered our colors, we've been working on names, age, and facial parts. He is incredibly smart. He knows eyes, nose, mouth, hair & ears. Not only can you ask where these body parts are, but if you point to your nose, he will tell you the name! A video (practicing names) and few pics from the last week:

Bike Riding in January = Happy Nolan.

Taste The Rainbow

We've been practicing colors with Nolan for a few months now. He picked up on blue and "lello" from the start. If he was unsure, he'd ALWAYS revert back to yellow as his answer. Must be his favorite : )

Last night he got every color spot on!!!

Enjoy this sweet voice:
